Top Impression
A
Gums
There should be a rim of gum above the teeth in the impression all the way around

Clear Margins
There should be a clear line where the tooth ends and the gum begins, all the way around every tooth
Lower Impression

Colour
The impression material should well-mixed and all one solid colour, with no white streaks
D
Teeth
All the teeth are clear and well-defined
E
Size
All teeth (including back teeth) are captured in the impression
Final touches
After you have done all 4 impressions (2 Top and 2 Bottom):
- Pick the best upper and lower impression based on the above photos
- Continue with Steps 8 – 10 with the best upper and lower bottom impression
